Since there were tags about motivation, I shall post my views about that here instead of flooding the cbox. I do agree that we should have inspirational posts here occasionally but you have to understand that the seniors are not counselors. Not everyone can look at a certain situation during practice and get struck by ideas on how to motivate others so that everyone can work towards or common goal of SYF- GWH.
Everyone should feel motivated themselves. And this is not just about CCA.
Think about what you really want. What does getting a Gold With Honours really mean to you? Why do you want that A1 that badly?
Things are not always easy and when you feel like crying or stopping, just HOLD ON. Hold on like how a desperate and depressed owner would grip onto a ferocious bulldog's leash. If you let go, your A1 or GWH would fly away, just like how the dog will run off.
Think about how you would feel receiving that GWH, or looking at that A1 on your report card.
Think about how crazy your competitors are working and think again.
If you really WANT this, then you will be motivated yourself.
You would come for all practices/attend all lessons.
You would practice at home despite anything else that you have on hand.
You would treat the instructors and seniors with respect and learn from them./ or teachers.
You would treasure every practice time.
And you will constantly remind yourself of what you want and how you will die to get it.
Even if it means getting insufficient sleep and losing your friends.
